Birders,

I joined Ryan Tomlinson and Don Wilson, of Kelowna, and Laird Law of Prince
George this morning for some birding in the mountains SE. of Kelowna. The
weather was generally warm with a few bands of clouds moving through. We
headed E. up Hwy 33, checking Philpott Road along the way. Then we drove to
the sprawling town at Big White and then descended along McCulloch Road to
Kelowna, enjoying birds all morning long.

I've only ever recorded 4 chickadee species in a single day about 2 times
before in my life. It was nice to see Boreal, Chestnut-backed, Mountain and
Black-capped Chickadees all very well today.
