Hi Tweets:

Even though it rained until noon on Saturday, Aug. 9, East Lake Washington
Audubon's field trip to Camano Island/Stanwood area included a trip list of 65
bird species. It was distressing to see a Warbling Vireo feeding a
Brown-headed Cowbird and find a Spotted Towhee with an aberrant yellow bill. Two Virginia
Rail were seen out of the 6 heard. Purple Martins waited out the rain at
English Boom and a flock of about a dozen flew over Iverson Spit. Red-necked
Grebe, Common Loon, and Ruddy Duck were in breeding plummage. Two immature
Blue-winged Teal were seen at the Stanwood STP. Spotted Sandpiper, Greater
Yellowlegs and Killdeer were the only shorebirds seen.
