Charles Swift reports a single TRUMPETER SWAN at Tolo Lake west of
Grangeville, Idaho Co ID on 1 Aug. ID DeLorme 54-55, C-3.5 If you're
southbound on US 95, turn right on Fenn Road just east of Fenn and follow
your nose to the lake. Northbound traffic, take the first left off of US 95
after coming down from the summit of Whitebird.

On 3 Aug at Medicare Beach [aka Perch Point gravel pit] on Potholes
Reservoir, Grant Co WA, Doug Schonewald reports a RUDDY TURNSTONE. Dave
Beaudette reports finding the bird again on 4 Aug. Potholes Reservoir is
southeast of Moses Lake. From I-90 in Moses Lake, take exit 179. Turn south
on WA 17 and go about 1 mile, then turn right onto Road M SE. Drive about 6
or 6.5 miles and turn right onto Road 6 SE. Go west about 3 miles. Here the
road goes up a steep hill and turns sharply right amongst a village of
trailer houses. Just past this sharp right, turn left onto an unimproved
dirt road toward Potholes Reservoir. Continue on to the gravel pit (aka
Perch Point or Medicare Beach). Right on the bottom of WA DeLorme 69, 6 and
7 or right at the top of page 53, 6 and 7.

If you have any questions about birds on the report, call me before 9 pm at
208.883.0943. If you see any of the birds mentioned in this report, be sure
to let me know.

Good birding.
