Hi. In an earlier posting to some of the chat groups, I had made
reference to a Great Blue Heron study group that was documenting
incidents of eagle predation on herons, but I couldn't recall the
specifics. Patricia Thompson of the Washington State Dept. of Fish and
Wildlife was kind enough to clarify things for me. The group is called
the "Heron Working Group" and includes both the Washington and B.C.
Wildlife Departments. The group has it's own e-mail at
heron-working-group at sfu.ca I thought I would post this info so that if
anyone in future witnesses an incident of eagle predation on Great Blue
Herons, they can report it directly.
