This report was partially prepared at http://birdnotes.net

Date: August 21-24, 2003
Location: Takhlakh Lake, Skamania County, Washington

Highlights: A BARRED OWL that called twice in the distance on 8/22,
breathtaking views of a couple of NASHVILLE WARBLERS foraging low,
and single calling CLARK'S NUTCRACKERS that twice flew directly over
our campsite.

The following species were noted while camping at Takhlakh Lake
August 21-24. I was slightly "under the weather" much of that time,
so most of what I noted was from or in the campground. The warblers
were in small flocks of birds that passed through the campground. It
rained off and on on 8/22, otherwise it was clear or nearly so.
