A MAGNOLIA WARLBER was seen 20 Aug in Douglas Co WA by Dave Beaudette. The
bird was along the Loop Trail north of East Wenatchee. To get there, from WA
28 at the East Wenatchee city limits head west on 19th Street NW to Cascade
Avenue, then north to 27th Street NW. Then west on 27th Street NW for about
0.25 mile to the 27th Street Entrance Loop Trail Parking. Walk north along
the trail to a wooden bridge.

A juvy RUFF was at Lind Coulee, north of Othello in Grant Co WA on 23 Aug
according to Bill and Nancy LaFramboise. To reach Lind Coulee take WA 262
west from WA 17. Turn north on Road M. Just after the bridge and guard rail,
turn right on the dirt road. The Ruff was near the end of the road. Despite
much looking on 24 Aug, the bird was not seen. WA DeLorme 53, A-7.

All 3 phalaropes, including a RED PHALAROPE, were at East Beach on Soap
Lake, Grant Co WA on 24 Aug according to Dave Beaudette. Soap Lake, near the
town of Soap Lake, is north-northeast of Moses Lake. WA DeLorme 68-69, A
right on the crease.

A SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER, identified by voice and patterning on the
secondaries, was seen at Lane Marsh, Kootenai Co ID on 25 Aug by Scott Rea
and Lisa Hardy. Lane Marsh is along ID 3 at milepost 111 between St Maries
and Rose Lake. ID DeLorme 60, BC-2.
