Fran Haywood and Joyce Alonso found four Marbled
Godwits this morning on Heron Lake in Spokane County.
The location is 1 mile north of I-90 interchange #264
for Medical Lake on SR 902 (Salnave Road) which is DL:
Pg. 88 D3. The lake is on the east side of the road at
MP 1.0.


Garrett MacDonald and I successfully viewed these same
birds in good light around 1:30-2:00 PM. Lighting
conditions are better in the afternoon.

A Greater Yellowlegs, 3 Western Sandpipers, Spotted
Sandpiper, Killdeer, and a Baird's Sandpiper were
present too. Not bad for Spokane County.
