Seven AMERICAN BITTERNs were visible in Rest Lake yesterday (8/27), four of
them visible from the viewing blind. A pair of basic-plumaged HOODED
MERGANSERs and seven GREAT EGRETs were also present. Shorebirds present
included GREATER YELLOWLEGS, WESTERN SANDPIPER, and LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER.
