Subject: Tweeters Virus Concerns

Rolan et al,

I set a message rule that automatically puts Tweeters messages into an email inbox sub-folder as they come in. That's no guarantee against a virus, but those instances have been rare. I do the same thing with virtually all my incoming email, leaving very few messages in the inbox itself--and most of that is spam. (I use Outlook Express.)

I love reading the messages and reports as well as being able to post myself, but since my computer can't tell me what's a tweeter e-mail from somethimg carrying a virus, I'm a little leary of opening some of my mail. Since I don't recognize ALL of the tweeters posters ( and who does, I think there are over 900 of us!) I'd like to have some signal in the Subject line that the message is bird related. Sorry if I sound gun shy, but I'm not openning messages with no subject unless I know the author. Does thai make any sense to the rest of you!
