Hi Tweeters,

I spent yesterday and today searching in Eastern Washington for shorebirds,
finding twenty species for the trip. The highlights were:

Stilt Sandpiper - two on the south side of Sprague Lake toward the
west end; one at Lind Coulee
Semi-palmated Plover - one at Lind Coulee
Sanderling - two at Soap Lake at the main beach
Semi-palmated Sandpiper - two at Soap Lake at the main beach
Baird's Sandpiper - several at nearly every stop
Pectoral Sandpiper - one at Soap Lake at the main beach
Red-necked Phalarope - 300+ on Soap Lake
Peregrine Falcon - one chasing everything in sight along the south
side of Sprague Lake
Gray Partridge - 15 along the fishing access road on the south
side of Sprague Lake
Black Tern - six on the south side of Sprague Lake
Burrowing Owl - two along SR 283 about five miles north of I-90
Bank Swallow - 2000+ (at least) landing to roost on the reeds on
the south side of Sprague Lake
