I stopped by the lake at Ryderwood around noon today (Friday) which Dave had posted from last weekend. Both the Solitary Sandpiper and Baird's Sandpiper are still there on the south end of the lake. I walked across a foot bridge to get better looks. Also noted 1 Green Heron feeding on the open mud and a Spotted Sandpiper. There were 2 Pied-billed Grebes in the lake itself. Other birds noted were: Downy Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker, Brown Creeper.
The 1'st 2 Sandpipers are tough in Cowlitz County.
