Well, "my wren" may be a little inaccurate, but that's how I think of the
bird...

Anyway, the Bewick's Wren who lives in the bushes near my condo door has
come back, must be that nesting season is over and he wants to hunker down
for the upcoming fall/wintertime and nail down his territory once again.
It's great to have him back. He has several very distinctive and
recognizable vocalizations, and does a lot of buzzing. What a pleasure to
hear him in the early AM when I open the door to grab my newspaper! Every
so often I'll go over to the bushes and buzz back at him, and he'll pop up
and watch me for a bit, flitting and turning the way wrens do. What a
personality that little bird has! Feisty, brave, explosive, all that from a
teeny bundle of voice and feathers! This is about the third year he's been
around, and he's more fun and enjoyable every year, it seems. Gotta love
wrens!
