Here on southern Vancouver Island, a couple of Yellow-headed Blackbirds
appeared at Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary on the 29th, not seen on the
30th, but instead an Eastern Kingbird. Both species very uncommon on
the Island.

Re: Sooty Fox Sparrows, first one in the nets at Rocky Point Bird
Observatory on the 28th.

A good mix of shorebirds around Victoria, but as usual small numbers of
each species - a couple of Stilt Sandpipers most noteworthy.

Could someone send us a White-tailed Kite?
