We also noticed the missing Osprey nest after some recent stormy weather and
wondered if it got over-soaked and came down in the wind???

Over the weekend we made our first trip birding to Port Angeles and were at
Ediz Hook the morning of Friday the 28th...we saw what looked like seed on
the ground after a pickup pulled away. As we were viewing the shorebirds
nearby, to our delight we eventually identified a Snow Bunting midst
ravenous starlings. I had noticed the Black Swan not too long after we were
on the Hook, it was near the log boom. Later a gentleman approached our
vehicle and asked if we had seen the swan as he had also noticed it. Later
that day at the John Wayne Marina on Sequim Bay a lady birder also mentioned
that the swan had been there for some time.

PS Yes, we did see the pink-foots, but not for a while now (End of K street
is about a mile from our house).
