Wednesday, November 26, 6:03 pm, Hi this is Tom Aversa. Birded up north
today, got lucky at Fir Island and saw a GYR FALCON feeding on a gull carcass. It
defended itself successfully against 2 Eagles and 4 Red-tailed Hawks from
stealing the gull. Also on Fir Island, at the Skagit Game Range, there was a
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW, and a BARRED OWL. There was another WHITE-THROATED
SPARROW up on Dry Slough Rd, just north of the main rd, in a brushy area,1/4 mile
from there. Also had a late COMMON YELLOWTHROAT at the Bayview landfill.

Thursday, November 27, 10:13 pm. Hi this is Steve Mlodinow on a drive down
to Portland from Seattle. Stopped at Nisqually NWR and the two ROSS?S GEESE
were in with a flock of mostly CACKLING GEESE, along the entrance to the refuge.

Friday, November 28, 6:34 pm. Hi this is Steve Mlodinow.........message broke
off from there.

Sunday, November 30, 12:29 pm. Hi this is Steve Mlodinow, there is a singing
MOCKINGBIRD at the Bingen Pond in Klickitat County; also there were a few
WESTERN BLUEBIRDS and two MEW GULLS. At the grianary tree near Batch Lake an
ACORN WOODPECKER was present and also in the area were 40 or more LEWIS?S
WOODPECKERS. A RED-BREATED SAPSUCKER was at Maryhill SP, and between Maryhill and
John Day Dam (Wa side) we had a hybrid TUFTED/SCAUP (male) duck. Yesterday at
the Ridgefield River ?s? unit, backside, we had three SWAMP SPARROWS, and in a
berry farm near Woodland, we had 6 MOURNING DOVES.
