Tweets - nine of us had a very enjoyable morning today at Marymoor, with
some quite nice weather (only 2 brief sprinkles, some sunshine, and good
light). There were some surprising birds, and some great looks at common
birds:

Green Heron Beautiful flyby at the lake platform
American Wigeon 1 female in slough
Common Goldeneye First of fall, 2 males flying downslough
Common Merganser 2 males on lake
Merlin Flew into snag row, chased off by crows
Brown Creeper 2 in big Cottonwood forest
Cedar Waxwing Only 1
Lincoln's Sparrow Great looks in Pea Patch
Wh.-thr. Sparrow Near parking lot early again
Purple Finch Large flock near last dog swim area

There were a lot of sparrows today; 8 species, but lots of most, and great
sightings of many. Large numbers of juncos in the Pea Patch (Community
Gardens). Lots of Golden-crowns with the White-throated. Great looks at
Fox Sparrows at several locations. Great looks at Golden-crowns at several
locations.

Lots of Bushtits and Pine Siskin.

Ended with 55 species for the day.
