Some months back, a report was posted onTweeters summarizing government
research findings on the prevalence of birding as a pastime. It concluded
that 1 in 5 Americans is a birdwatcher, and estimated the size of the market
for birdwatching programs and paraphenalia. I neglected to save it. Can
anyone provide me with a copy of that posting? I am writing an article and
would like to cite some of those statistics.
