The last two times we've birded this area, we have stayed in Sonoita at the Rainbow's End B&B. This is a great place from which to explore the whole area and many of the sites mentioned in this ongoing discussion. We loved it because the owner's live on another part of this working ranch so you are pretty much on your own and can come and go easily at all the odd hours that birders do. When we chose to, we could also cook all our own meals or prepare our picnics to go for the day. It's very comfortable and has some great birds on site at well. We daily saw a pair of goshawks who nested near by, owls in the trees along the entry drive each evening, nesting roadrunners in a nearby bush with one roosting each evening in the rafters of the back porch. Lots of passerines, hummers and ground birds too. Its a cool, laid back way to see SE Arizona. Great horses too. Their website is: http://www.gaitedmountainhorses.com/bednbreak.htm
