Greetings,

While enjoying the beautiful weather and listening to chickadee calls, a
Black and White Warbler popped up at Daroga State Park. It was with a small
gang of Golden-crowned Kinglets and Mountain Chickadees and a Ruby-crowned
Kinglet. The Black and White foraged along the bark of the main trunks and
branches and also the cones of pines.

Daroga State Park is in Douglas County and is 24 miles north of Wenatchee
along US 97. There are two entrances to Daroga; turn off at the main
entrance at about MP219.5 The park is closed so park so as not to block the
gates. Walk around the gate and go down the main park road. Go past the
first parking lot on the left. Soon you will see two small cinder block
buildings on the left. One is a restroom, the other is a long narrow
building. The B&W was in the Austrian Black Pines and Ponderosa Pines around
those buildings.

Good Birding,
