I've also heard great things about Stuaart Healy from others who have used
him. Given enough time, it's perfectly feasible to bird the area on your
own with the aid of the ABA guides and tips from the other birders you meet
along the way. But if you are pressed for time and need that special bird
or two, he is great. His web site is also a good resource. We chose not to
use a paid guide because we're retired and travel in a motorhome, so we can
take as much time as we like.
