Just to follow-up on Mike's post about Lyon's Ferry Park (Franklin Co.).
According to the WA State Parks web site
(http://www.parks.wa.gov/parkpage.asp?selectedpark=Lyons+Ferry&pageno=1),
Lyons Ferry Park is owned by the U.S. Army Corps but is managed when by a
private contractor between May & September. Lyons Ferry along with Chief
Timothy Park near Clarkston and Central Ferry further west along the Snake
R. have always been owned by the Army Corps but previously were managed by
agreement/contract by WA State Parks. All 3 of these parks are now managed
by a private company but they are still U.S. Army Corps property. I believe
it should be possible to visit all 3 of these parks in the off-season for
birding. One could contact the U.S. Army Corps (try the biologist for the
region) but I would probably take my chances!

thanks, Charles.
