On 6 Dec Dave Beaudette found a BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER at Daroga State Park
in Douglas Co WA, 24 miles north of Wenatchee along US 97. Turn into the
park at mile post 219.5. The park is closed so park so as not to block the
gates. Walk past the gate and down the main road past the first parking lot
on the left. Soon you will see two small cinder block buildings on the left.
One is a restroom, the other is a long narrow building. Check here in the
pines.

A COMMON TEAL, the Eurasian form of Green-winged Teal, was spotted today, 8
Dec, at Bottle Bay on Lake Pend O'reille, Bonner Co ID near Sandpoint. Earl
Chapin found the bird and says it is residing with a few mallards on the
south end of Bottle Bay, about 100 feet from the road. ID DeLorme 62, BC-3.

On 6 Dec Doug Schoenwald found several good birds along Banks Lake, Co WA. A
GYRFALCON was at Alkeny Access on the southwest corner of Banks Lake. At the
log booms at Coulee Playland near Electric City were an adult and a first
year GLAUCOUS GULL. WA DeLorme 85.

On 6 Dec 4 GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULLS were below Lower Monumental Dam on the
Snake River in Franklin Co, WA according to Mike and MerryLynn Denny. The
dam is about 5 miles south of Kahlotus. WA DeLorme 54, D-4.

On 8 Dec Lisa Hardy reports a female HARLEQUIN DUCK on the North Fork of the
Coeur d'Alene River near Kingston, Idaho.

COMMON REDPOLL reports came in from across the region, but the biggest flock
was at Wolf Lodge Bay on Lake Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai Co, ID. Lisa Hardy and
Kris Buchler found a flock of 80 or so birds. They were around the marshy
area just south of I-90 exit 22 east of Coeur d'Alene.
