Tweeters readers, et al,

It was with a bit of chagrin that I realized that my attempt to save the my
birding friends in the e-world was without merit, considering the avalanche of
e-mails that were forthcoming concerning the potential virus that my sister,
the computer science teacher, alerted me to last evening. Some comments were
cordial while others were slightly scathing. Go figure.

I will say, however, that I can't remember a rare bird sighting that elicited
this kind of response from birders and non-birders alike. It's good to know
you're out there and reading these postings.
