Subject: Orange-crowned Warbler at UW

Hi,

Today at about 12:30 I was headed to a reception in
Hitchcock Hall for fall quarter UW biology graduates
(yay!) when I saw an Orange-crowned Warbler along the
Burke Gilman trail behind the Greenhouses. It was
very bright, so probably of our breeding subspecies
"lutescens" rather than a migrant "celata."

Just out of curiosity does anyone have any idea what
the ratio of those two subspecies is in winter birds
in this area?
