Most all the birds in our yard eaten my home made Suet.Including Bushtits Wrens Nuthatches Stellar Jays,Varied Thrush .Towhee Sparrows both Kinglet's and the Hutton's ( on Dennis Paulson's bird gallery comparing the Hutton's versa Ruby crowned Kinglet) Northern Flicker ,Downy Woodpeckers,Black-capped Chickadee's and Chestnut-backed Chickadee Brown Creepers and House Finches.NO HOUSE SPARROWS IN MY YARD.We been feeding birds here in Fircrest 19 years and the birds are increasing because all of Orchard Street is developed outside of fircrest. We also had a Great Horned Owl next Door and a Screech Owl one year in my yard.We also had a Barred Owl close to the Fircrest Marsh

I just watched a song sparrow cling to my suet cage and chow down like there was no tomorrow. I never seen where they are likely to eat this?

Let me add I have had almost zero success with either butcher-suet or storebought rendered blocks in the 18 years I've lived in the Puget Sound area so I'm especially surprised.
