Hello Tweeters and Birders,

In April of 1994 We took an adventure to Tappen in South Central BS to see
the reported Siberian Accenter.Tappen is between Kamloops and Salmon Arm a
12 hour drive from Tacoma. We was one of the first birders on the scene. The
owner of the house let no one stay in the yard ,so we don't disturb this
bird.So we made our self comfortable sitting on a large window looking out
where this bird appeared before. One think was in our favor he had some suet
hanging on the big tree for all the Woodpecker there was some suet fallen to
the ground what the Accenter eat up.This was the time I got a camera and
this was my first rare bird which I photographed.I was so surprised that
this photo was used in "THE BIRDS OF BRITISH COLUMBIA " VOLUME 3.This books
come in 4 Volume and got 693 PAGES.I went twice to see this bird and the
second time you needed reservation,I went with Bob Norton from Joyce west
of Port Angeles. There where so many Birders sitting in the room that we both
stayed way in the back and had no access to a window seat, but we both had
good looks at this bird.I wish I had my photo Equipment and the experience
taken photos I would had better photos.

Cheers,

Ruth Sullivan
