I've been to City Peoples' Garden Store (2939 E. Madison Street, Seattle)
twice this week, and each time have seen and heard WESTERN SCRUB-JAYS. Both
times they were in the trees and shrubs around the parking area. These are
likely the same birds reported from the Washington Park play field, which is
just across the street and a few blocks east. What a racket! Beautiful as
they are, I hope they don't choose to nest near my bedroom window.
