Location: Ridgefield NWR River S Unit, Clark County, Washington

Prevailing wind speed: < 1 km/h
Percentage of sky covered by clouds: 60%
Precipitation: haze or fog

I visited Ridgefield NWR yesterday morning for several hours. A
male EURASIAN WIGEON was on Rest Lake. Consistent with other late
sightings, a flock of 6 BARN SWALLOWS passed by (also over Rest
Lake). A single GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was with a flock of
Canadian Geese at the kiosk as you enter the refuge.

I kept my ears open for the recently noted Swamp Sparrows, but
dipped. I thought I heard the three note call of a Greater
Yellowlegs north of the photo blind, but could never locate the
source.

There was enough (albeit minimal) light to digiscope by and I took a
few photos. I haven't had a chance to go through them yet, but will
post a link for those who enjoy bird photos (and a pretty good
sunrise) once I have.
