Greetings,

Here are some of my recent sightings for Wenatchee and East Wenatchee.

Light morph adult Harlan's Red-tailed Hawk...This bird was seen
as recently as 21 December 2003. Based on my notes this is the same bird
that was present here last winter. It is most often seen on light
standards at the US 2/US 97A interchange at Wenatchee. This area is just
west of the US 2 bridge over the Columbia River. The bird has also been seen
to the north and south but not across the river in Douglas County. This fall
I was looking to see when the bird would return. I was very excited when it
arrived on 14 October 03.

Adult male Common Goldeneye/Bufflehead Hybrid...This duck has returned for
its third recorded winter at Wenatchee. It can usually be found in the pond
[inlet] at the north end of Walla Walla Point Park in Wenatchee. A male
Eurasian Wigeon is also present at this pond.

Wilson's Warbler...one was seen along the Loop Trail at East Wenatchee, just
north of the 27 St parking lot on 18 December 2003. This is my first
December record for this species in the valley.

Good Birding,
