Merry Christmas Tweets!
Don't know how many of you are aware of this but tonight in the
Anacortes American Newspaper, there is a column by Denny Church on local
wildlife. He stated that the Wildlife Commission approved of a new
"Watchable Wildlife" decal program so wildlife viewers can share equally
in the cost of managing state's fish and wildlife resources.
The new decal will allow access to all WDFW lands and will come with a
vehicle use permit and wildlife viewing education material. (The bears,
the bears, I want to see the bears!) The cost is expected to be $30/yr
and the program will go into effect April 1st, 2004. State Parks permit
is $50.Which is the better value?
Wildlife viewers, the largest segment of the outdoor recreation
community currently pay $10 per year for vehicle use permit. A $30
annual fee will bring their share of the financial burden more in line
with fees paid by hunters.
Pick up a "Migratory Waterfowl and Upland Game Seasons" pamphlet where
they sell hunting license. Some very interesting info in there. Did you
know you can hunt crow from October 2003-Jan 31, 2004 and no limit??

Cheers !
