I've also seen hybrid male Eurasian x American Wigeon. From David's email, I thought he was describing a variant male American Wigeon, not a hybrid. I think the male American's that have the buffy head (in addition to the typical buffy crow) are a variant, NOT a hybrid. The hybrids I've seen have cinnamon heads like the Eurasians, with the green face of the Americans, and intermediate body plumage.
