Subject: who own public lands?

Here's my point of view on this subject for good or ill and I'm not bringing
it up to make anyone feel sorry for me personally. I live on disability.
$30.00 is approximately half to a third of the money I have left each month
when the bills have been paid. Many people in this country have less. Yet,
public lands by definition belong to the people, not just the people who can
afford the fees. When I was growing up, camping was the one vacation
families with limited incomes could afford. Now, the fee to camp in most
public campgrounds is more than I can come up with. Did I stop being a
citizen when I was injured? Does a senior stop being a citizen because they
retired? I know public lands must be maintained but it's not some abstract
person being excluded but me.
