Birds have certainly inspired much poetry. I like "Favorite Birds and what the Poets Sing of Them". Some others you might want to check out: "Sisters of the Earth-Women's Prose and Poetry About Nature"; "Bird Watch" (kids book of bird poetry). And look for this one to be published around April: "Birds in the Hand"-fiction and poetry about birds.
