On Sunday, February 2nd, East Lake Washington Audubon's Beginning Birder
Class was birding the Skagit and Samish Flats. While at the Skagit Game
Range, around noon, we saw the Red-shouldered Hawk. It was seen sitting low
on a horizontal branch in the grove of deciduous trees and shrubs on the left
as you enter the reserve. It was seen again in the same grove as we left the
reserve. Some people had very good looks at this shy raptor.
