On 29 Jan, Jason Paulios reports 4 flocks of SNOW BUNTINGS in Douglas and
Lincoln counties WA. Each flock had about 50 birds. One flock was along US 2
near Atkins Lake, Douglas Co, about 8 miles west of Coulee City. WA DeLorme
85, D-5. The other 3 were along Bagdad Road or side roads off of Bagdad in
Lincoln Co. Bagdad Road is southeast of Grand Coulee and runs west from WA
174 about 9 miles south of Grand Coulee. WA DeLorme 86 AB-1. Dan Stephens
reports several flock of 120 SNOW BUNTINGS were along 6NW (Slusser Road) on
1 Feb. Also in Grant Co, Slusser Road runs east-west northeast of Waterville
connecting with WA 172 near Withrow. WA DeLorme 83, C-8 and 84, C-1-2.
At the Clarkston, Asotin Co WA landfill on 1 Feb were several first-winter
GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULLS, an ad and second-winter GLAUCOUS GULL, and the ad
WESTERN GULL. From Clarkston, head west on US 2 to Evans Road. Follow Evans
until it ends. Turn left and then right into the landfill. Stop and ask for
permission before entering and don't drive on the scales.
