The Renton (or just north of Renton) nest used to be on a platform in the
Quendall Log Yard. The birds moved a couple hundred feet south, several
years ago, to the top of the sawdust hopper of the adjacent mill. The nest
is encrusted with sawdust, yet the young keep on fledging!
I have to admit I didn't check the nest in 2002, but this was accurate for
2001 and 2000, at least.
