Tweeters,

It was great to spend 10 minutes at the pier around 3 p.m. today. A few COMMON
LOON were mixed in with quite a few RED-NECKED GREBE only 30 to 80 feet out.
Nearby, I made out a PIGEON GUILLEMOT a reasonable distance from SURF SCOTER and
DC CORMORANT, and a BONAPARTE'S hung out with the usual gull suspects. I'm sure
there were more species, but copious eye watering due to the wind made for my
hurried exit. TIP: If you go, take a windbreaker!

Surprisingly, there were no fishermen--a first, in my experience.
