Greetings. I work in the education division at the Burke Museum, We are in
the process of creating a traveling study kit about Local Birds. This kit
will include curriculum, background information, specimens, and bird books,
etc. and will be available to school groups. It will be oriented toward
middle schoolers and will focus on birds in the Seattle area. In order to
help students get better acquainted with their local birds, we thought it
would be good to include checklists from local parks and natural areas. We
are contacting the parks, but we also wanted to know if there were people on
this list who might be interested in sharing their local checklists with us.
In that way, we could get a wider spectrum of the habitats in the city,
especially considering that many parks do not have any official lists.

Any help would be appreciated, including suggestions of activities.

Thanks kindly,
David Williams
