There's also a nest along Highway 20 east of Marblemount, about where the
road S-curves above the Skagit River. That's getting pretty far from Puget
Sound, though.

Osprey nests always seem to be on the very top of a pole or snag. Thus quite
different from Bald Eagle's nests, which tend to be braced against the trunk
part way up. A couple of nests on natural sites include the one on the snag
just east of the Cle Elum River bridge on the south side of I-5 west of Cle
Elum (taken over by geese, then abandoned) and the one on a snag in the
marsh just south of the highway at Montesano.
