I have no idea how common it is, but when I lived in Seattle, I used to
sometimes see crows going through the dog poop piles for undigested corn and
other vegetables. They didn't seem to be indiscriminately eating the whole
pile. The crows I saw always seemed to be browner and shabbier looking than
your average Seattle crow, but maybe that was only my perception. I
wondered whether these crows were at the lower end of the crow socioeconomic
ladder.
