I've never seen crows make contact with redtails sitting or flying. They
come very close sometimes, depending on the season and urgency of getting
the hawk out of there. Crows generally will fly right at the redtail, then
vear off and to the side of the hawk, a falcon or accipiter they VERY
QUICKLY get out of their dive before they're a meal.
