The Marbled Godwit was again feeding in the wading lagoon at Belfair State
Park this morning on the incoming tide. I watched it from about 8:25 to 8:45
as it fed along the muddy shore of the small wading lagoon by the main
parking lot. Nearby were several American Wigeons. The few waterfowl out on
the Canal were being harassed by a bald eagle. In the small bay near the
campgrounds a female Northern Marsh Harrier was watching from a raft stranded
on the shore. Not much in variety at Belfair SP but what was there made up
for it.

This is the second week I've seen the godwit at BSP so perhaps it is spending
the rest of winter in the area.
