Saturday, February 8th, evening update, sponsored in part by the Wild
Birds Unlimited Stores in Vancouver and North Vancouver.

The featured birds is AMERICAN AVOCET.

Sightings for Saturday, February 8:

An AMERICAN AVOCET and 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS were at Beach Grove in
Tsawwassen.

A HERMIT THRUSH was seen in Queen Elizabeth Park.

3 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS and 8 EURASIAN WIGEON were at Blackie Spit.

6 PACIFIC LOONS were seen off the 1,001 Steps in Ocean Park in White
Rock.

Thursday, February 6:

The AMERICAN AVOCET was with 6 GREATER YELLOWLEGS at Beach Grove
Lagoon in Tsawwassen.

250 TRUMPETER SWANS were along 104th Street in Delta.

A ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was at 64th Street in Delta, between 34th and
28th.

Wednesday, February 5:

The HARRIS' SPARROW continued to be seen at the end of River Road in
Ladner, near a cement shed with a greenish roof.

2 ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS were at the corner of Seymour and Bellvue in
White Rock and a PILEATED WOODPECKER was in nearby Centennial Park.

Tuesday, February 4:

The HARRIS' SPARROW was along River Road in Ladner.

Monday, February 3:

A NORTHERN GOSHAWK was seen flying over Macdonald and 16th Avenue in
Vancouver.

The HARRIS' SPARROW was reported from River Road in Ladner.
Near the dump in Delta, there were 1 or more TUNDRA SWANS with some
240 TRUMPETER SWANS.

In a late report for Sunday 2 VIOLET GREEN SWALLOWS were seen in the Terra Nova area of Richmond.
