Hi Dan and Tweeters,

I am reading a book called "Mind of the Raven", by Bernd Heinrich. Ravens routinely eat dog poop. I read his first book too called "Ravens in Winter". The author is an interesting scientist who looks at things in a very fresh light. Plus he is incredibly dedicated, I think of him as Mr. Meatpile because he is meticulous about keeping track of how many pounds of meat he hauls out to form meatpiles for the ravens. Ravens are big eaters so he makes some serious meatpiles for them and it sounds like a lot of work.
