The East Lake Washington Audubon is having a nature cruise from La Conner on
Feb. 22. We have a few openings left and invite any one in Tweeters Land to

Nature Cruise - La Conner
A four hour cruise of Upper Swinomish Channel to Padilla Bay. Weather and
time allowing, we may cruise around Fidalgo Is. and return through Deception
Pass. Expect to see Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, Grebes, Loons,
Mergansers, thousands of ducks, harbor seals, sea lions, otters and more. The
Viking Star is a fully enclosed, heated cruising boat with 31 large glass
windows for great viewing in any weather. The boat will leave at 11:00 am, so
you should be at the Viking Cruises boat dock office by 10:30 am to allow
time to check in. Viking Cruises is located one block north of Nasty Jack?s
Antique Store on First Street. The cost of the cruise will be $30 + tax, if
we have 15 or more. This is a discount from the usual $35. The boat will take
about 40-45 people. Bring a lunch or you can pre-order a box lunch for $9.95
+ tax. Ice water, coffee and hot water for tea are available at no charge.
Bottled water and soda can be purchases onboard. If you want to carpool to La
Conner meet at 9:00 am at south end of Kingsgate P&R (I-405 exit 20B
northbound or 20 southbound at NE 124th St, go west to light at 116th Ave. NE
then right (north) past top of hill to P&R entrance on the left). Carpooling
