Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 13. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

A YELLOW-BILLED LOON was at the South Jetty of Yaquina Bay February 6. It
could not be relocated. A COMMON GRACKLE is wintering at Tulelake just over
the border in California. The Florence BALTIMORE ORIOLE, the Woodburn
VERMILION FLYCATCHER, and the two RUFFS at Stewart Pond in West Eugene are
still being reported.

BARN and TREE SWALLOWS, SAY'S PHOEBES, BAND-TAILED PIGEONS, SANDHILL CRANES,
and TURKEY VULTURES are now moving northward. EURASIAN WIGEON reports are
now increasing. Many males now accompany females.

A COMMON YELLOWTHROAT was at Coquille February 7, and another was at
Millicoma Marsh in Coos Bay February 10.

On February 8 a RED-SHOULDERED HAWK, a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK, and a PRAIRIE
FALCON were along Rentenaar Road on the east side of Sauvie Island. Good
numbers of CRANES are in the nearby fields. A EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL was
on the Vanport Wetlands in North Portland February 12. A GYRFALCON was
reported from the Fernhill Wetlands February 9. An AMERICAN TREE SPARROW was
near Canby February 6.

A probable BOHEMIAN WAXWING was near the EE Wilson State Wildlife Area
February 10. A group of five male EURASIAN WIGEON were at Finley NWR
February 9. The COSTA'S HUMMINGBIRD is still coming to a Eugene feeder.
Single EMPEROR and ROSS'S GEESE are now at Fern Ridge Reservoir. On February
8 a BLACK PHOEBE was seen there. On February 7 a EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL
was at the Creswell Sewage Ponds.
