I met the camera crew on New Island, Falkland Islands during January
2001 while they were filming albatrosses. You have no idea the pain and
suffering the camera crew went through to get some of these stunning
shots.

They arrived on New Island at the end of the three month trip, on a
chartered yacht from South Georgia on their way back to Ushuaia,
Argentina. There were seven people (3 in the yacht's crew and 4 in the
camera team) crammed into a tiny yacht. I have no idea how they
survived the conditions - perhaps there were more than 7 when the yacht
set sail.

I have never seen people so pleased to see dry land, hot showers and
cooked meals.
