My initial and continued reaction to Valerie's buteo photo is that it is an
imm Redtailed. However, I find the white throat of interest. Eastern
Redtails have white throats but I am unaware of how many, if any, western
Redtails have white throats.
It would be of interest to know where this bird was photographed.

Does anyone else think that this may not be a typical western type bird?
