Friday, February 14, 7:25 AM; This is Tom Aversa, reporting on a trip
yesterday to the Ridgefield area. Along the auto loop rd, there was a
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK, and 3 CINNAMON TEAL, including a drake in full plumage,
at the observation blind. Also along the lower river road area, south of
Vancouver there were 30 GREAT EGRETS in the Shillapoo Bottoms, a COMMON TEAL
at Post Office Lake, and a HARRIS?S SPARROW along Old Lower River Rd, after
the second slough, on the right. Thats it.

Saturday February 15, 6:40 PM; Rachel Lawson, (206) 282-5593, This morning
during the Falcon Research Group raptor census in the Skagit Valley, visiting
birder and author William Clark and his group found a rare light morph
HARLANS HAWK on Fir Island. Brian Bell, Mary Francis Mathis and I were able
to relocate the bird in the afternoon off Dry Slough road, where it veers
right at the dike, just before Skagit City rd. It was in a tree on the dike..
