I'm afraid I was probably unclear on where I saw the gulls. The ones
I was asking about I saw way up in the Skagit river valley, at an
eagle observation area. I'm not sure of the exact spot but at least
at mile marker 100 or beyond; there are a couple of portable toilets
and some picnic tables. The gulls were on the gravel bars along the
river.
